We Build from Our Foundation

For those of you who follow my posts, you know that my husband and I are developing Red Chair Ranch. I have a vision of a physical Red Chair space where people can come to discover or perhaps re-discover, who they are, as a person, as a leader, and as a human being in this complex system in which we live.

My horses have a big role to play in this process. Their ability to naturally sense energy and provide us with a neutral, affirming space to explore ourselves, is unlike anything I have experienced before.

As individuals experience coaching with horses, they gain greater clarity, feel re-energized to continue their journey and honestly, often look different when they leave, than they did when they arrived.

For us to create this physical Red Chair space, we are excited to have found a firm foundation from which to build. And it is from that foundation that we tear down, add to, and create something new.

The building above, served it’s purpose in the past. At one time, it was a 'shiny’ new building that provided shelter for the animals who lived here. As you can see, it can no longer serve it’s purpose.

It came down last week to make room for the horses to come home. To create a pen in which they will hang out. A place which now includes this beautiful new shelter, which came up this week, where they are protected from the elements.

There is more work to do and we are systematically doing it. And soon, the horses will come home, from the stable where they board.

They will come home to Red Chair Ranch where they are meant to be.

I believe that leading, ourselves and others, requires us to build from the foundation that we have.

There are times that it is important to tend to our foundation.

Sometimes the ‘structures’ we have built for ourselves are no longer relevant.

Sometimes we need to unlearn and make room for new.

I offer Red Chair experiences virtually and they have proved to be powerful experiences. When we add nature and the horses to the mix, it takes the experience of Red Chair to an even deeper level.

One on one coaching with horses is a COVID safe experience. If you are curious about spending time with my herd and I this summer, book a call to learn more.

More information about team or group experiences will be coming soon, and will be offered in accordance with COVID guidelines.

As we courageously walk our path, we have choice – to see the light amidst the shadows, to experience new growth that comes from hardships, to find the solid footing amidst the rocky path. The choices we make, determine our journey. - S. Leppky
