Shannon Leppky, M.Ed
Shannon is a seasoned executive coach, team facilitator, and the visionary founder of Red Chair Coaching & Leadership Academy. Her unique approach to leadership and team development involves experiential coaching with the Red Chair Ranch herd; creating transformative experiences that foster deep insights, trust, and personal growth for leaders and teams.
Shannon’s career began in the education sector, where she collaborated with prominent North American thought leaders on strategic school change initiatives and coached secondary school educators. Her passion for fostering growth and development led her to earn a Master of Education. She then transitioned into the corporate world.
For nearly a decade, Shannon held significant leadership roles within a prominent Crown Corporation in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she led people-readiness strategies for several multi-million-dollar business transformation programs, showcasing her ability to lead complex change initiatives.
Shannon took on the role of Chief Human Resource Officer, where she successfully set the foundation for a corporate-wide culture shift. Her leadership excellence quickly led to her appointment as Vice President of People and Product and being identified for CEO succession. Shortly after that, she made a seemingly illogical choice. She chose to listen to her ‘gut’ and walked away.
What followed was a series of unplanned events that led her back to her passion for partnering with people to create change within themselves and their organizations
When Shannon established Red Chair Coaching & Leadership Academy, little did she know it would include learning how to partner with horses as coaches, leaving suburbia, moving to the countryside and developing Red Chair Ranch. Shannon has created change in her career making her a coach that helps others do the same from a place of knowing what it takes.
Today, Shannon works with leaders and teams to create awareness and understanding about themselves, each other and their environment, so they can lead with intention and achieve the results they desire.
Shannon holds a Master of Education(Adult Education), is a Certified Professional Coach (College of Executive Coaching) and holds an Advanced Executive Certificate in Management from Queen’s University. She spent a year studying Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching through the Academy for Coaching with Horses in Colorado. She is certified to use Core Strengths and EQi 2.0.
